St. Patrick Catholic Church
Lincoln, Nebraska
St. Patrick's current church was built at the turn of the century as a combined school and church. The new church, which replaced the existing structure, was built on the parish's property adjacent to the current school. The basement will accommodate a future parish hall and multiple meeting rooms off the narthex. The church is designed in a classical mode with simple, clean lines that still exemplify the principle of noble beauty. In the sanctuary, the reredos takes cues from Irish ecclesial architecture.
